We’re looking for a talented and motivated Process Design Engineer to join our engineering department in Chichester. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing specialist equipment for the Oil & Gas industry, working closely with a skilled team of engineers and fabricators.

More About the Role
  • Apply scientific, mathematical and engineering principles to design new equipment and improve existing processes.
  • Create, review and refine engineering plans, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Lead and advise on testing programmes, including HAZOPS and ensure designs meet customer specifications.
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with statutory regulations, environmental requirements and industry codes of practice.
  • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, contractors, suppliers and specialists on technical matters.
  • Design and plan equipment layouts and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Participate in and coordinate project programmes across the engineering team.
Qualifications
  • Post‑graduate degree in process engineering from a UK university, with 3–5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of process principles and excellent maths, physics and research skills.
  • Confident communicator with exceptional written and verbal English skills.
  • Skilled in project management, including timelines, budgets and reporting.
  • Proficient in CAD and comfortable with daily use of spreadsheets, word processing and email.
  • Experience leading teams in an industrial environment with strict safety and quality standards.
  • Self-motivated, organised, analytical and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
