The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out EV Charge Point (EVCP) and electrical maintenance services for one of our industry leading clients. This charge point operator has an extensive portfolio of EV charging sites across the UK. The role involves completing annual maintenance checks across all sites, covering both EVCPs and associated electrical infrastructure.
In addition, the role may include supporting EV maintenance activities for other client sites as we continue to expand our operations and maintenance asset portfolio. Some overnight stays will be required, as sites are located nationwide. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of EV charging infrastructure at sites ranging from rapid charging hubs to destination and hotel installations.
More about the role:
- Work at various locations throughout the UK undertaking planned preventative maintenance on EVCP's and electrical infrastructure.
- Testing of equipment and ensuring accurate recording of results and reporting back to the Operations & Maintenance Manager.
- Responsibility for ensuring all equipment checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works.
- Complete annual inspections, functional testing and safety checks for EVCPs and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve faults, ensuring minimal downtime for each site.
- Works to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation. The EV Maintenance Engineer holds full responsibility for reading and signing such documentation.
- Perform remedial electrical work as required, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer guidance.
- Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner.
- Assist other Engineers if required.
- Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional representative of Utility Line.
Qualifications
About you:
- Must possess a full clean driving license (up to 3.5T only).
- 18th edition C&G L3 2921-33 & or 2921-34, testing and inspection.
- Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation.
- C&G 2330.
- Experience with EV charge point installation, maintenance or commissioning.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team or individually.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Advantageous - manufacturer training on Alpitronic, ABB or Tritium hardware & EUSR SHEA Power / Emergency First Aid.
