To support the delivery of predominantly wastewater and integrated hydraulic modelling projects. The role will include:
- Planning and supervising various surveys
- Managing site visits - walkovers, investigations, observing survey contractors
- Building hydraulic models
- Verification of hydraulic models
- Introduction to project scoping
- Introduction to modelling solutions
- Analysing results using a variety of software packages including Excel
- Generating plans using Mapinfo
- Report writing
- Engaging with clients either on the phone, via email, or by attending meetings with more senior members of staff
- Supervising and checking the work of graduate/assistant modellers
- Preparation of risk assessments
- Assist in the development of in-house training modules
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or other qualification supplemented by appropriate experience
- 3 years practical experience in the wastewater hydraulic modelling field
- 2-3 years ICM 1D experience with some 2D experience
- Member of appropriate professional body
