Are you a skilled driver with a hands on attitude, ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact? We’re on the lookout for a Tanker Driver to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Drive vacuum tankers and carry out pumping, servicing, repair and cleaning of a wide range of tanks, bilges, compartments and ship systems.
- Lead and organise staff on projects, ensuring all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
- Complete all documentation accurately, including customer sign offs and maintain high cleanliness standards on customer sites.
- Undertake specialist cleaning, high pressure jet washing, confined space work and fire sentry duties when required.
- Ensure compliance with waste management regulations, tanker driver regulations, PPE requirements and all Health & Safety procedures.
- Liaise with customers, support service engineers and uphold Marlin Environmental Services’ standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of ship systems is essential.
- Experienced in operating vacuum tankers, pressure washers and pumping systems, with strong practical skills and confidence using hand tools.
- Knowledgeable in confined space working, MAR pack procedures and specialist tank/bilge cleaning standards.
- Good understanding of ship systems and able to differentiate between survey, hot work and preservation cleaning requirements.
- Holds a valid HGV licence, ADR (if applicable) and CPC.
- A strong team player with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Reliable, safety focused, adaptable and able to maintain high attention to detail under pressure.
