As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and operational at all times. You will use modern diagnostic equipment to identify faults, carry out repairs efficiently, and maintain accurate records of all work completed. You will work on a fleet comprised of:
- Light Commercial Vehicles
- Peugeot Boxers
- Ford Transit Vans
More about the role:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, including Texa and Bosch systems.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements.
- Complete all work in line with manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports and job documentation.
- Ensure vehicles meet all safety and compliance requirements.
- Support workshop efficiency by working independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
Qualifications About you:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Vehicle Technician role
- Experience servicing and repairing light commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience using Texa and/or Bosch systems
- Experience working with Ford and Peugeot vehicles
- Competent IT skills
- Confident using tablets, mobile devices and computer systems to complete job cards, service records, inspection reports and workshop paperwork accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
