Group Transport Manager Open to location - must be able to travel Permanent, full time role Competitive salary plus car or allowance + benefits About the Role Were looking for a highly experienced and proactive Group Transport Manager to lead transport operations across the Adler & Allan Group. This senior leadership role is critical in ensuring compliance with operator licensing, vehicle maintenance, and driver hours regulations across all depot locations. Youll supervise local transport managers, drive continuous improvement, and provide expert guidance to divisional CPC holders and senior leaders. This is a strategic position requiring strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to influence transport policy and operational excellence across the Group. Key responsibilities Road Transport & Safety Compliance Lead internal audits and ensure depot-level compliance with transport regulations. Monitor driver hours and infringements; ensure accurate records and corrective actions. Develop defect reporting and spot-check systems. Support safety campaigns and deliver toolbox talks. Investigate compliance breaches and coordinate remedial actions. Report monthly OCRS data and coordinate responses with senior leadership. Collaborate with SHEQ/Quality teams to maintain internal audit frameworks O Licence Management Ensure full compliance with O Licence requirements across all locations. Maintain accurate documentation and act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies. Deliver training and guidance on operator licensing obligations. Fleet & Asset Management Support depot teams with asset tracking, service schedules, and utilisation. Deliver transport performance reports to senior leadership. Collaborate with maintenance teams to uphold standards and reduce costs. Investigate MOT failures and support action planning. Contribute to transport policy development and coordinate L&D initiatives. Lead vehicle specification exercises and support procurement activities. Health & Safety Promote safe working practices and report any breaches immediately. Lead by example in high-risk environments and ensure compliance with company H&S policies.
