The role will include:

  • Develop, calibrate, validate, maintain, and utilize models for root cause analysis, understanding system operation and performance, communicating risk, and supporting business needs.
  • Provide technical training, coaching, and mentoring for team members, demonstrating technical leadership and driving technical improvements within the team.
  • Prioritize health and safety in the delivery process and practices.
  • Proactively manage stakeholders and foster excellent internal networks across the organization.
  • Ensure the delivery of quality modeling outputs and instill confidence in the results.
  • Develop Total Expenditure (TOTEX) solutions to enhance outcomes.
  • Use modeling results to aid stakeholders in decision-making and recommend modeling approaches to support design teams.
  • Continuously challenge and seek opportunities to improve the technical quality and confidence of modeling outputs.
  • Support the development and adherence to modeling specifications.
  • Foster innovation and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in technical training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Proven ability to streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience in the relevant field, ideally with a relevant professional qualification or Chartership.
  • Proficiency in data interrogation using Microsoft Excel, including Visual Basic programming.
  • Strong attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Valid driving license.

Capability:

  • Proficiency in software such as InfoWorks ICM, Risk Master, InfoAsset Manager, MapInfo, and ArcGIS.
  • Demonstrated experience in model development, verification, river modeling, water quality modeling, and solution development.
  • Excellent understanding of hydraulics and water quality standards.
  • Practical understanding of option buildability.
