Join PSS Utilities as a Lining Operative and be part of a team that has been delivering top-notch drainage services for over 34 years, offering fast, eco-friendly solutions. Specialising in cutting-edge trenchless repairs, you will work with innovative technology that keeps roads, gardens, and driveways intact.
If you have experience in either Steam Curing, Hot Curing or Pipe Welding, then this could be the role for you! (Don’t worry if not, we also provide training!) There will be heavy lifting and lots of physical work, including confined spaces and working in extreme weather conditions, so you will need to be willing to get stuck in!
What You’ll Be Doing
- All aspects of drainage including but not limited to:
- Carry out CCTV works including pre and post CCTV surveys
- High Pressure Water Jetting works on pipes
- Carry out robotic cutting works where required
- Install patch liners and full length liners including ambient cure, hot cure, LED, UV where required
- Carry out rerounding, pipe bursting and slip lining works whereby existing pipe is replaced by pushing or pulling through new pipe where required
- To carry out manhole chamber/renovation works including removal and reinstatement of benching, infiltration sealing and drilling/injection of resins and spray lining of manholes/chambers
- Thorough completion of site/works information on a tablet device.
- General maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment.
- Prepared to take on training for the latest UV technology to line predominantly 100mm and 150mm pipes.
- Working away will be required.

- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working in a manual role e.g. Groundworks, construction, drainage etc. (desirable)
- ‘Can do/will do’ attitude.
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential.

- City and Guilds Confined Spaces
- EUSR SHEA (water multi-utility as required).
- NRSWA (new roads and street works act)
- Health and Safety Awareness training / certification
- Manual Handling, Asbestos, Abrasive Wheels, First Aid, Working at Heights current certification.
