We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to support our Environmental Engineering division - seven unique businesses delivering critical services across the UK.
Job Description
- Month-End & Reporting
- Complete key month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and revenue recognition.
- Support delivery of accurate divisional accounts by WD4.
- Provide clear commentary on variances versus forecast.
- Data, Insight & Business Partnering
- Partner with operational teams across Electrical Services, Protective Coatings and Pipeline Services.
- Prepare finance reports and monthly MI packs for senior stakeholders.
- Analyse financial trends, identifying risks, opportunities and actionable insights.
- Evaluate cost structures and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Control & Governance
- Conduct expenditure variance analysis against budget.
- Strengthen compliance with financial processes across the division.
- Review credit card spend and improve compliance.
- Produce financial reports to support robust management of large projects.
- Drive improvements in invoicing to reduce aged WIP.
- Work closely with credit control and stakeholders on aged debt.
- Continuous Improvement
- Support ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in a finance role.
- Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA (study support available).
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships across teams.
- Highly organised, proactive and commercially minded.
- Full UK driving licence.
