About Us
Adkwik is a trusted leader in the manufacture and supply of high-performance adhesive solutions for the industrial, construction, and woodworking sectors across the UK and Ireland. With over 30 years of expertise, we help businesses overcome bonding challenges through tailored products and expert support. Our mission is to bring a problem-solving mindset to every client, delivering quality products, reliable service, and practical expertise every day, for everyone.
We are now looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
What We Need From You
- You’ve owned a portfolio of 200-300 accounts (or similar scale) and have segmented it effectively (using A/B/C, and/or tiering)
- You’ve run a daily rhythm of outbound phone calls and tracked the meaningful conversations
- You’ve led structured account reviews/QBRs with agendas, actions, and 90-day plans
- You’re strong in CRM (HubSpot ideally): next steps, forecasting, clean data
- You can evidence margin protection: held price, traded value for concessions, reduced discounting
What The Role Entails
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will protect and profitably grow revenue across a substantial portfolio of 300 existing customers throughout the UK and Ireland. In this high-impact commercial role, you will focus on two main areas: protecting current revenue and expanding it profitably. You will achieve your aims by building strong relationships and ensuring we are a trusted partner who understands their operations and can solve real problems that help them achieve better outcomes.
You will also:
- Develop and convert a strong expansion pipeline
- Uncover opportunities across new products, applications, sites and processes
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to deliver great customer experiences
Your Rewards
In return, you'll discover a rewarding package designed to recognise your contribution and support your ongoing success:
- Salary of up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience + bonus 10-20% of salary
- Discretionary company bonus scheme
- 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Enhanced sick pay scheme
- Potential for salary sacrifice schemes
- Team days and conferences
- Fully paid training across all fields
- Free parking
- Free snacks and drinks
This is a fantastic opportunity for an account manager with experience managing a large customer portfolio to join our ambitious and growing business. You'll have the chance to take on and build an outstanding portfolio of high-value accounts, sharpening your expertise while establishing a proven track record of profitable growth that will set you apart in your career.
To help us assess your application, please include the following in your CV or cover note:
- Portfolio size + segmentation method
- Average outbound activity per day/week
- Example QBR cadence (monthly/quarterly)
- CRM used + forecasting responsibility
- One margin defence example (before/after)
