The Management Accountant undertakes financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support effective business decision-making. This role involves preparing management accounts, monitoring budgets and forecasts, analysing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The post holder contributes to the development of financial strategies and provides insight to optimise financial management and operational efficiency.
Job Duties
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Analyse financial data, variances, and trends to provide meaningful reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support business planning activities.
- Perform cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax and financial reporting obligations.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
