Adkins & Cheurfi are pleased to be recruiting for a Head Chef to join a large, independent seaside hotel in Sunderland. Following a recent refurbishment, the property offers exceptional facilities including two restaurants, a large events space, and a brand-new conference and events venue opening soon. The hotel operates year-round and caters to a wide range of guests, including weddings and events of up to 300 attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the hotel’s kitchen operations, including both restaurant and banqueting services
- Design, develop, and regularly update menus across all outlets and events
- Collaborate closely with senior management to enhance the overall food offering
- Incorporate seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Oversee kitchen team performance, training, and development
- Maintain strict health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Manage stock control, supplier relationships, and kitchen budgets
