The Senior Conveyancing Paralegal undertakes a key role within the legal team, providing comprehensive support in residential and commercial property transactions. This role involves managing a full conveyancing caseload, liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and timely progression of transactions. The post holder is responsible for preparing and reviewing legal documentation, conducting property searches, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the conveyancing process.

Key Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and progress a caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from inception to completion.
- Prepare, review and issue contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork associated with property transactions.
- Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, surveyors, mortgage lenders, and local authorities to facilitate the exchange and completion of contracts.
- Conduct and review property searches, including local authority, environmental, drainage, and water searches, ensuring any issues are identified and addressed promptly.
- Provide clear and timely updates to clients and other stakeholders regarding transaction progress and any issues arising.
- Ensure all conveyancing procedures comply with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
- Support solicitors and other legal professionals with case preparation and administrative tasks as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records in line with the firm’s data protection policies.
- Identify potential risks and escalate issues to the appropriate parties to avoid delays or legal complications.
- Assist with the training and mentoring of junior paralegals or legal assistants within the team.
