Adkins & Cheurfi are recruiting Relief Cooks to join our agency team!

We supply local schools and care homes across the North of England, offering flexible opportunities for cooks looking for a variety of shifts and working environments.

We offer competitive rates of pay, weekly pay every Friday, flexible working to suit your availability, and the opportunity to gain experience across different sites.

Role & Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking fresh meals to a high standard.

• Following menus and catering requirements.

• Preparing meals to meet dietary requirements and special diets where necessary.

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

• Managing stock and minimising food waste.

• Following food safety procedures at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cook in a school, care home or similar catering environment.

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

• Knowledge of food safety, allergens and special dietary requirements.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a kitchen team.

• Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy kitchen.

• Enhanced DBS preferred, or willingness to obtain one where required.

• Driving licence and own transport preferred.

Salary & Benefits

• £13-£16 per hour, depending on experience and role.
