A full time/part time position for an experienced legal secretary/assistant office based in a busy niche law firm in Ponteland. The position will predominantly entail supporting 4 family lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audio and copy typing
  • Helping with general administration
  • Supporting the lawyers to maintain high standards of client care
  • Daily tasks include file opening, diary management and maintaining compliance systems

What we are looking for:

  • The candidate should have previous legal secretarial experience (ideally within a Family department)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Excel, Outlook, case management systems and digital dictation
  • A high level of attention to detail and understanding of the requirements of compliance
  • Excellent written communication and organisational skills
  • The candidate should also be a team player as well as able to work on their own initiative
  • Experience in a law firm is essential with ideally a minimum of one year working as a legal secretary
