The role of Family Law Paralegal involves providing comprehensive legal support within a busy family law department.
The successful candidate undertakes a variety of tasks to assist solicitors in delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and draught legal documents such as court forms, witness statements, letters, and agreements in accordance with client instructions and legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of cases for court hearings, including collating evidence and organising bundles.
- Liaise with clients, court staff, experts, and other relevant parties to facilitate case progression and maintain clear communication.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and firm policies.
- Conduct legal research and summarise relevant legislation, case law, and procedural rules related to family law matters.
- Support solicitors in managing client enquiries and provide timely updates on case progress.
- Assist with financial disclosure processes, including gathering and organising financial documents.
- Manage diaries and appointments, coordinating meetings and court dates as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of office procedures and support the efficient running of the department.
