This role involves working for a Boutique North East Firm providing expert legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial property matters. The successful candidate manages property transactions, leases, acquisitions and disposals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and client requirements. The role demands a proactive approach to managing caseloads, drafting and negotiating documentation, and maintaining strong client relationships. Working within a busy legal team, the lawyer supports business growth by delivering high-quality legal services in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on commercial property transactions including purchases, sales, leases, licences, and property development agreements.
  • Draught, review and negotiate a variety of commercial property documents such as leases, licences, deeds, and contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare reports for clients on title, planning, environmental and other property-related matters.
  • Manage the entire transaction process from inception to completion, including liaising with clients, other legal professionals, surveyors and financial institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with current property law, regulations.
