Opening early 2025, this fast paced, vibrant sports themed restaurant & bar looks forward to joining a host of branded & independent establishments already at home here in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic Assistant General Manager to play a key role in launching the new restaurant alongside the site’s General Manager and bringing the American culinary experience to life! The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the restaurant. The AGM supports the General Manager in managing team members, driving sales, maintaining quality standards, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a commitment to creating a positive work environment. What We’re Looking For: Leadership & Team Management Assist in recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing team Provide clear direction, motivation, and support to team members. Oversee shift scheduling, labour cost management, and staffing levels. Lead by example, fostering a culture of professionalism and respect. Operational Excellence Monitor and manage restaurant cleanliness, food quality, and presentation. Manage inventory control, ordering, and food cost optimisation. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions. Guest Experience Maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.
