This role requires providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors specialising in clinical negligence cases.
The successful candidate manages a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the legal team, handling sensitive documentation and communications with professionalism and discretion.
The position demands excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work within strict deadlines.

- Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, format and proofread legal documents, correspondence, court forms and pleadings related to clinical negligence claims.
- Manage diaries, schedule appointments, court dates and meetings, ensuring efficient time management for legal staff.
- Maintain and update case files, ensuring all relevant information and documentation are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
- Liaise with clients, medical experts, courts, and other third parties to coordinate case progress and provide updates as required.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and telephone enquiries, prioritising and responding in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with the preparation of trial bundles and other documentation required for hearings and settlements.
- Use case management and document management systems to record and retrieve case information effectively.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Support solicitors in billing and fee note preparation related to clinical negligence work.
- Undertake general office administration duties as required to support the smooth running of the department.
