A fast paced, forward thinking specialist claims handling organisation who are passionate about people, have a big team spirit and want to provide the best customer service, are now looking for an experienced Subsidence Claims Handler to be part of their Specialist Subsidence team.
- You will manage your own caseload of subsidence claims from cradle to grave.
- You will be the main and consistent point of contact leading and supporting customers through the potentially long claims process, ensuring they will feel fully supported every step of the way throughout the lifecycle of the subsidence claims journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of a full caseload, responsible for your own portfolio of subsidence claims.
- Proactively progress the claim with regular contact with the policyholder
- Provide administrative support and work closely with the team of field surveyors
- Work with schedules of repair and be able to review, edit and handle variations.
- Have full understanding and awareness of the caseload to be able to progress claims to achieve repair completion.
- Organise and arrange activities associated with repairs (storage, accommodation, asbestos testing, programme of works, etc.)
- Handle subsidence specific aspects such as correct ABI.
About You
- Experience of technical property claims handling and complaints
- Construction knowledge related to repair of a wide range of buildings is advantageous.
- Be able to work under pressure handling high volume technical claims
- The ability to make decisions, plan and manage own workload through to completion
- Exceptional communications skills being able to liaise and communicate with multiple parties
- Experience in subsidence claim handling is required (essential)
- Good IT skills and be able to utilise various systems
- Industry qualifications desired or a willingness to work towards
