Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide Technical Building claims solutions and support a team of Surveyors and a Claims Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a remote working desk-based team to drive subsidence claims towards settlement.
- Communicate with customers, contractors, and insurer clients over the telephone, email, and in writing.
- Manage third party companies to achieve vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate the cause of subsidence damage.
- Update and create building repair scopes using in-house schedule of rates.
- Assess contractor estimates.
- Negotiate cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
- Manage panel contractors, controlling repair schedules and costs.
- Settle claims under delegated authority.
Skills Experience Required:
- Previous subsidence/buildings insurance claims experience OR extensive trade experience (5+ years) OR be a graduate building surveyor.
- Demonstrate great communication and organisation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service.
- Computer literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
