An experienced Claims Handler is required to join a specialist Marine Claims Management Practice who work closely with the Lloyd's of London market, as well as MGA's, Brokers and Retail Agents throughout the UK managing specialist claims covering a wide range of water vessels including paddle boards, jet ski's, narrowboats, yachts etc.

This will be an exciting time to join due to expansion and new clients coming on board offering career progression and development long-term and being part of their growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working in a team environment.
  • Managing Marine claims cradle to grave overseeing the lifecycle of the claim, Marine claims experience isn’t essential as full training and support will be provided
  • Being a focal point for key clients including the Lloyds of London market
  • Gathering and assessing evidence, checking policy wordings and establishing validity
  • Calculating quantum and negotiating settlements up to circa Β£2m

About you:

  • An experienced Claims handler within the Insurance Claims Industry, from a Broking, Insurer or Adjusting environment
  • A background in handling claims, being able to interpret policy wordings and establishing validity
  • An exceptional communicator verbal and written
  • Enjoy working in a team environment as well as being able to work on own initiative
  • Be happy to work in an office environment full-time although my client does offer some flexibility should the need to work from home arise
  • Have a passion or be interested in sailing or water sports – desirable
  • Industry qualifications – ideally, working towards or would like to work towards

Office hours – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with an hour for lunch with the option to leave early on a Friday, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays with a Birthday day holiday, free parking.
