Key Responsibilities
- Transactional Accounting
- Manage supplier accounts, including reconciliations and resolution of queries
- Process bank transactions and carry out regular bank reconciliations
- Progress towards full ownership of both sales and purchase ledgers
- Month-End & Reporting
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Prepare journals
- Support preparation of management accounts
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and procedures
- Support and eventually prepare VAT returns and other statutory reporting
- Assist with audit preparation and provide required documentation
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll journals
Person Specification
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Strong Excel skills (basic formulas and spreadsheets)
