An ambitious and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant is sought by a successful and expanding company based in Gloucestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive and growing business. Initially, you’ll assist across all aspects of the accounting function, with genuine scope for progression as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.
- Contribute to the preparation of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advise clients and resolve accounting or tax queries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with Senior Accountants, providing assistance across a variety of client projects and reporting tasks.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar accounts role is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential).
- Familiarity with Sage 50 software.
- AAT qualified or part-qualified (with aspirations to progress to CIMA, ACA, or ACCA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
