We are recruiting reliable HGV 1 drivers. We are extremely busy with ongoing and potential full-time agency work - We will work around your availability!
You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations (mostly refrigerated). This position requires excellent driving skills, 12 months experience and a strong commitment to safety. Experience of refrigeration deliveries is an advantage.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate a commercial vehicle
- Loading and unloading stock using appropriate equipment may be required
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues or damages
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times
- Communicate effectively with transport office and other team members
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation and safety protocols
- Valid driver's license, CPC and Tachograph card
- Proven experience as a HGV driver or delivery driver for 12 months
- Ability to operate a commercial vehicle
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload stock if needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent pay rates
