The predicted salary is between 23 - 23 £ per hour.

We are recruiting reliable HGV 1 drivers. We are extremely busy with ongoing and potential full-time agency work - We will work around your availability!

You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations (mostly refrigerated). This position requires excellent driving skills, 12 months experience and a strong commitment to safety. Experience of refrigeration deliveries is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle
  • Loading and unloading stock using appropriate equipment may be required
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues or damages
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times
  • Communicate effectively with transport office and other team members
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation and safety protocols
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license, CPC and Tachograph card
  • Proven experience as a HGV driver or delivery driver for 12 months
  • Ability to operate a commercial vehicle
  • Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload stock if needed
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
