We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The area WILL include, West Lothian, The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals, particularly those requiring support due to age, illness, or disability. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home care setting.
Staff will receive a 37.5hr contract with any hours over paid at £12.85 per hour.
Duties:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Engage in activities that promote mental and physical well-being, tailored to individual client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as required.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Skills in care are advantageous for this position.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial for supporting clients with specific needs.
  • A valid driving license with access to own vehicle required.
