Lead and coordinate plant quality activities, ensuring customer-defined quality issues are resolved through corrective/preventive actions, proper use of statistical tools, and compliance with IATF 16949.
Main Responsibilities
- Resolve customer-identified quality issues and prepare corrective/preventive actions, follow up, verification, and release.
- Control and lead scrap and containment problem solving.
- Ensure manufacturing runs with best quality and zero downtime through effective resource use and statistical tools.
- Serve as the link between customer, plant, and supplier for all quality concerns.
- Lead cross‑functional problem‑solving teams for internal issues (IPPM, COPQ, Product Audit).
- Monitor key operational metrics and take corrective actions as appropriate.
- Maintain and improve the Measurement System Analysis Plan; ensure Gage studies (R&R, bias, linearity, stability) on all gaging.
- Lead plant quality activities such as IPPM, offline inspection training, visual management, quality alerts, and containment actions when issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, BOS, and customer requirements.
- Communicate customer quality requirements to plant members and keep them updated.

Customer Requirements
- Understand and communicate customer quality requirements for all customers.
HSE Expectation
- Conduct safety talks, share findings, provide feedback, and maintain updates.
- Volunteer for safety meetings and take immediate action on safety issues.
- Keep JSA/Risk assessment and environmental aspects current for routine and non‑routine activities.
- Participate in safety activities and initiatives (AMS, safety week, 5S, HSE training, proper PPE).
Qualifications (Education, Skills, and Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in manufacturing, with at least one year as Supplier Quality Engineer or Plant Quality Engineer, preferably in a multi‑national company.
- Knowledge of advanced quality planning: AIAG, FMEA, PPAP, dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design, performance/material testing.
- Strong statistical concepts, design of experiments, and problem‑solving methodology.
- Experience with manufacturing quality systems and customer communication.
- Professional certification in quality engineering is desirable.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and team‑inspiring skills.
- Background in ISO/TS16949, continuous improvement, TQM, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, DOE, and SPC.
