You’ll be joining our Stockport Head office, home to 18 showrooms, our Conference Centre, staff Wellness Hub, a truly state-of-the-art gym, an indoor astroturf pitch, chat boxes & creative corners. Our Stockport team consists of over 350 adidas employees, working across Brand, Sports Marketing, Marketing Activations, Visual Merchandising, Sales, Account Operations, Finance, HR & many more.
What you’ll do: As an Assistant Category Manager at adidas you’ll work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, both locally and globally to drive growth and ambition by supporting the Category Manager and having ownership of your own areas. You will work specifically on adidas apparel working with key account JD Sports. You will seasonally review global product ranges and feedback what is specifically required for your category, account and market, identifying successes and opportunities for growth. In addition, you will be a key stakeholder in the creation process of exclusive product and guide the key account through the go-to-market process. You will be immersed in keeping up with current product trends, consumer types and will keep up with the world of popular culture, entertainment and sports to help guide briefs, projects and insights for your role and the category manager.
Skills you’ll need: 1+ years of industry experience through merchandising, buying or category management/support. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and relationship building skills when interacting with a diverse range of contacts both internally and externally. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a range of projects/campaigns simultaneously. Ability for regular travel, locally and globally.
