Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation

Responsible for maximizing the profitability of the Brand Flagship Store by coordinating all Facility, I.T, Cash compliance and operational needs and delivering a model flagship environment for our consumers and store team:

  • Collaborating, creatively and confidently to contribute to the day to day operation of the Brand Flagship store by taking ownership of all I.T, facility and cash compliance based topics in order to provide a premium in‑store consumer experience.
  • Decreasing complexity whilst increasing productivity by modelling operational excellence in all operational areas such as cash management, I.T, facilities, compliance, PO raising and cleaning standards.
  • Engage and inspire the Operations Team to ensure an efficient, productive, and truly service based culture to the Store Team and end consumer.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to provide a first‑class reputation, prioritise the basics and be a role model of operations for a Brand Flagship.
  • Implement, drive and ensure a first‑class approach with global retail operational directives, processes, policies and standards within the store back office, proposing ideas and solutions to build a world‑class Brand Flagship Store.
  • Execute flagship retail relevant specific processes in close cooperation with the Assistant Manager Operations, Senior Manager Operations, and Store Teams as well as Retail Back Office team, taking guidance and support from global functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Is aware of store targets and department goals, and actively works to meet or exceed these by using all the resources available within their remit.
  • Co‑ordinates the day to day running and maintenance of all operational areas daily by using all tools available.
  • Leads and co‑ordinates all operational digital floor walks prior to and during trade, able to complete basic troubleshooting where required with equipment and escalating where unable to resolve locally.
  • Ability to complete troubleshooting across all devices and apps MPOS, SAM devices, EA, NPS.
  • Collaborates productively and respectfully with all team members acting as one team to meet or exceed goals.
  • Is a role model of behaviour and performance supporting line manager to ensure all processes are adhered to.
  • Leads the cash operations, guiding the team where required, completing processes accurately while adhering to house of retail policy and procedures.
  • Leads the team to accurately complete all daily cash operations within the deadline set by the company.
  • Ensures all banking and EOD discrepancies are communicated accurately and fully to the relevant stakeholders (DD, PP, Finance) in a timely manner.
  • Works as one with line manager and other team members to manage the required resources and consumables to create an effective environment, highlighting issues to line manager where required.
  • Make recommendations to improve service through innovation and operational drivers to line manager to provide ideas with strong foundation through analysis and proven track record of results.
  • Adhere to global and local legal standards for all operational topics, and monitor/evaluate established processes to guarantee the Flagship’s full compliance as well as make suggestions and demonstrate successes.
  • Supports the operation managers with ad‑hoc requests such as supporting with the cleaning audit, raising PO requests and reviewing internal communications and cascading/action all points.
  • Prioritises at all times the instore experience and uses attention to detail to provide the consumer the ideal shopping environment.
  • Is aware of all system updates, content and proactively manages them with the appropriate team to ensure minimal impact on store, coordinating specific times and dates that changes can be made.
  • Works closely with the operations managers to ensure SLA’s are adhered to and inline with all agreements.
  • Maintain audit records for all legally required checks, tests and risk assessments.
  • Trains, supports and develops the admin team and coordinates admin tasks to ensure all admin tasks have been completed.
  • Maintain an operations structure, setting clear objectives from the senior manager, operations strategy, achieving common goals, and defining cash operations; managing team workloads and adopting consistent best practices; and delivering results.
  • Implement strategies with line managers to translate the company vision and strategy with key stakeholders into reality for the operations team.
  • In collaboration with the assistant manager, operations, key stakeholders, and store teams, establish and implement robust processes to identify key actions and support execution of all cash operational topics.
  • Implementing projects from first briefing, conceptualizing, tracking, implementation and sustaining through to the desired outcome, taking ownership for key areas, and managing their future success where required.
  • Ensure the offices are well organized, neatly arranged, and a high level of cleanliness.
  • Provides feedback as part of the back‑office leadership team to support line manager in the monitoring and managing of performance.
  • Communicates a desire to learn and seizes all available opportunities to drive their development and increase performance.
  • Assist the wider operations team with additional duties when reasonably requested and within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability of the role to support the store.

  • Minimum 12 months’ work experience in a sports/fashion customer‑ and fast‑paced consumer focused retail environment with experience working in a leadership role in operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of cash processes and systems.
  • Advanced numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills.
