Mechanical Project Manager

Location – We are ideally seeking a candidate based in the Northwest who is willing to travel to client sites as needed.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will collaborate directly with the Managing Director to ensure that Mechanical projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will evaluate large-scale, complex opportunities and work alongside the team to identify key revenue prospects. Additionally, you will coordinate internal and group resources to produce compliant and successful tender submissions.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Take active responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of the mechanical project’s portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to expand and grow revenue streams and opportunities in the UK.
  • Generate quotes and secure revenue streams while effectively managing available labour to exceed profit goals and expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for new disciplines, revenue streams, or market sectors that can support adi’s growth strategy.
  • Work with the leadership team to assess and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new clients and sites for adi.
  • Build and maintain relationships, developing them into long-term business partnerships.
  • Plan and manage the delivery of all quoted works in conjunction with the wider business.

About you

  • Project management experience with expertise in process and mechanical engineering.
  • Similar role experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational management best practices.
  • Effective judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building relationships internally and externally.
  • Customer and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to create and maintain engineering drawings.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Process Experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Management of large budget projects under tight financial circumstances.
  • Successful securing of large revenue projects in competitive environments.
  • Contribution to strategy development and effective policy formulation.
