As a site-based HVAC Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of non-core engineering and facilities services, ensuring the upkeep, maintenance, and statutory compliance of site assets. Reporting to the Site FM Manager, you will work closely with site teams and contractors to provide a professional, efficient, and safe service.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Plan, coordinate, and lead day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance work.
- Manage and oversee contractors delivering specialist services.
- Support plant and equipment improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
- Maintain FGAS logbooks and ensure compliance with legislative and site regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices, asset reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in on-call duties and escalation processes as required.
- Support minor project works and capital improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards are maintained at all times.
About You:
- Strong mechanical engineering competence with experience of maintaining chiller plants.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- F-GAS Certification is a must for this position.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/CSCS).
- Proven experience in engineering or hard FM contracts.
- Familiarity with planned and reactive maintenance systems (CMMS).
- Experience in industrial manufacturing.
