Our Facilities Engineering Division is looking for an experienced and motivated Service Automation & BMS Project Engineer to join our growing Facilities team. This role will be predominantly based at a key customer site in Towcester. You will be responsible for the engineering, commissioning, maintenance, and support of BMS and automation systems across our Facilities Engineering Division, ensuring projects and support activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with operations teams, subcontractors, customers, and internal stakeholders to provide high-quality technical solutions and ongoing service support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering, commissioning, maintenance, and support of Trend BMS and automation projects
  • Support and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, and MES system solutions and associated software applications
  • Development, programming, testing, and integration of software and hardware solutions
  • Coordinating installation engineers and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Producing and maintaining commissioning documentation, reports, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS)
  • Supporting a strong culture of safe working practices and compliance with industry standards
  • Assisting with customer surveys, quotations, and technical support activities
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager to achieve business KPI targets and customer objectives
  • Delivering continuous improvement through efficient engineering practices
  • Supervising site activities and ensuring adherence to Group QHSE procedures
  • Supporting sales growth through strong customer relationships and technical expertise

About You

  • Extensive experience within the BMS and automation industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of Schneider Electric and Trend systems
  • Proven experience working within industrial and/or manufacturing environments
  • Experience delivering projects ranging from small works to larger-scale installations
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, SCADA, MES systems, and automation software
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations and RAMS documentation
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
