As a Mechanical Fabrication & Welding Apprentice, you’ll be part of a busy workshop environment, learning from experienced professionals and developing core fabrication and welding skills. You’ll support day‑to‑day operations while ensuring all work is completed in line with quality standards, company procedures, UK regulations, and client requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • TIG and MIG welding
  • Fabricating parts from technical drawings
  • Preparing materials and components for welding
  • Assisting with general fabrication and workshop tasks
  • Unloading and correctly storing deliveries
  • Changing and dressing grinding wheels
  • Supporting the Workshop Manager as required
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety compliance

About You

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Practical awareness and an interest in engineering
