About the Role
As a Roaming Tester, you will carry out electrical inspection and testing across industrial and manufacturing sites, completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671. This is a field-based role with occasional overnight stays, with hotel accommodation provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671 on systems up to 1000V.
- Conducting visual inspections and testing, accurately identifying and coding defects.
- Producing accurate EICRs using electronic reporting software and test equipment.
- Conducting emergency lighting testing to BS5266-1.
- Carrying out safe electrical isolation procedures.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Following agreed schedules of works and maintaining safe working practices.
- Working collaboratively with the adi Compliance 360 team and customers.
- Travelling to industrial and manufacturing sites, with occasional overnight stays.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience in electrical inspection and testing and completing EICRs.
- Experience working within manufacturing and industrial environments.
- Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/5).
- 18th Edition qualification and NVQ Level 3.
- Good knowledge of BS7671.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Experience using thermal imaging equipment would be beneficial but is not essential.
