adi Food and Beverage Projects Director
As the Projects Director, you will work closely with the Managing Director to implement a growth plan aimed at expanding customer reach and enhancing profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the adi F&B business. Your responsibilities will include driving site and project performance to ensure positive outcomes for clients, serving as the primary point of escalation for resolving key challenges faced by food and beverage manufacturing clients, and developing detailed, competitive quotations that impress clients without incurring excessive costs. Additionally, effective resource management across multiple sites will be crucial to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the Managing Director on operational decisions and strategic goals.
- Reporting to the Operations Director, with dotted line responsibility to the Managing Director
- Working closely with the Managing Director and Business Development Director to lead the preparation of proposals and quotations within the F&B sector, liaising with internal and external suppliers
- Overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth progress.
- Line management of a team of Project Managers, providing constructive feedback.
- Overseeing high-profile food and beverage projects ranging up to Β£30 million
- Assessing and developing PM team training and inputting into engineering team training needs to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Cultivating subject matter experts within the team to enhance competitive advantage.
- Evaluating and improving business procedures based on organisational objectives.
- Managing procurement processes and PM team resource allocation.
- Enhancing customer support processes for better satisfaction.
- Reviewing financials and adjusting budgets to improve profitability.
- Managing key relationships with external partners and vendors.
About You
- Expertise β Food and Beverage subject matter expert with a solid understanding of process or design engineering projects.
- Industry Knowledge β Understanding of manufacturing pressures and challenges.
- Track Record β Proven success in food and beverage industrial/manufacturing roles.
- Best Practices β Experienced in financial and operational management.
- Project Management β Skilled in managing various budget projects under financial constraints.
- Relationship Building β Strong ability to connect with stakeholders.
- Technical Skills β Proficient in understanding engineering drawings and creating Risk Assessments (RAMS).
- Health and Safety β Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and CDM regulations.
- Full UK driving license.
