As an Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers within our Lean Manufacturing and Design team, developing practical skills in assembly, fault finding, and mechanical systems. About the Role
You’ll join a busy and supportive workshop environment, gaining experience across a variety of mechanical fitting and assembly tasks. You’ll play a key role in building high‑quality components, equipment, and systems, ensuring all work meets required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting general workshop activities, including fault finding, diagnosis, and condition assessments
- Preparing for work activities by reviewing drawings, specifications, and job instructions
- Interpreting engineering drawings and diagrams for assembly tasks
- Setting up work areas and sourcing the correct tools, equipment, and materials
- Assisting in the production of complex, high‑value, low‑volume assemblies
- Assembling components to build equipment, machinery, and systems
- Using workshop machinery and tools safely and effectively
- Following all health & safety procedures and best practices
