ADI Global Distribution is looking for an Intrastat Analyst to join our Indirect Tax team based at our International Head Office in Chadderton, Oldham. Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax, the role focuses on the preparation of monthly Intrastat declarations for multiple businesses across Europe and supports day‑to‑day VAT compliance, external advisor liaison, and VAT reporting.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and file monthly Intrastat declarations for all ADI companies within the EU.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and other teams to ensure all required Intrastat data fields are available in SAP.
  • Prepare and analyse reports to support the team members in the month‑end process.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining standard operating procedure documentation.
  • Handle Tax Authority queries and audits and support ad‑hoc requests and internal audits.
  • Prepare VAT returns, EC sales lists, and other mandatory VAT reports.
  • Provide monthly VAT return overviews to country controllers for approvals.
  • Prepare data for VAT payment requests, ensuring payment deadlines are met.
  • Identify incorrect VAT treatment and coordinate with accounts payables/receivables.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of VAT balance‑sheet accounts and post month‑end clearing journals, working with country controllers to clear issues.
  • Flag VAT risks to the Head of VAT promptly and support resolution.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the preparation of Intrastat declarations.
  • Experience in relevant accounting/VAT compliance.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, analytical, and methodical with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership, demonstrate problem‑solving, and implement change.
  • Experience with SAP.
