We are currently looking for a Commercial Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our EMEA Head Office in Chadderton, Oldham. This role has a hybrid working pattern with 3 days office and 2 working from home.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the business analysis of UK & Ireland income statements
- Perform monthly revenue and operating income variance analysis to understand business performance
- Conduct financial analysis to help drive the business including growth and financial profitability through qualitative and quantitative analysis (Monthly, quarterly variance analysis, Product line, vendor & customer margin analysis, cost analysis, and working capital and cash flow)
- Work with regional finance leaders to support key finance tasks – vendor and customer rebates, IOS reporting, sales reporting, supplementary schedules
- Partnering with the internal sales team to provide financial analysis and support on promotional activity
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the FP&A organisation to allow a faster response and a deeper level of analytical capability within the finance organisation
- Supporting the design and development of reporting, to enhance management information and analysis of the EMEA operations
- Assistance with the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop relationships with key functional leaders to assist in the validation of data analyses and drive accurate reporting
- Presentation of Financial data into easily understood graphical formats
- Support with analysis of cost performance, headcount and capital expenditure
- Provide finance support for the business functional leaders as required
YOU MUST HAVE
- Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships (most notably outside of finance function), actively engage coworkers and motivate them to achieve common goals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong internal and external customer and finance service orientation
- Must be a team player with intercultural skills
- Demonstrate creative thinking to resolve problems and develop succinct and concise reports, as directed by finance management
- Energetic, open-minded, and enthusiastic to contribute to improvement of company goals and employee advancement
- Must be fluent English speaker
WE VALUE
- Candidates that are part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified in either CIMA/ACCA
- University degree in Finance or Business or relevant qualifications
- Experience using SAP is an advantage
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Access) is a plus, as is data extraction from core Enterprise Reporting Systems (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion)
