adi Fire & Security is looking for an experienced Fire Systems Small Works Engineer to join our growing Fire & Life Safety team. This is a hands-on role focused on commissioning, servicing and small works installations across a variety of environments, including heavy industrial, manufacturing and transport sites. You’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire and life safety systems, working in line with BAFE regulations, company procedures and customer requirements.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out small works installations of fire alarm and life safety systems
- Installing and commissioning PAVA and Disabled Refuge systems
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive service calls
- Undertaking small-scale commissioning activities and compliance testing
- Producing completion and commissioning documentation to BAFE standards
- Working safely in line with RAMS, H&S policies and customer site rules
- Liaising professionally with customers on site and resolving issues effectively
- Supporting project delivery by meeting KPIs, timelines and quality standards
- Working alongside subcontractors and direct labour when required
- Participating in an on-call rota on agreed dates
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Proven experience as a Fire Systems Engineer
- Strong background in fire alarm, aspirating, PAVA and Disabled Refuge systems
- Experience on medium-to-large projects within the fire and security industry
- Experience with systems such as Siemens, Gent, Notifier or EMS would be beneficial
- ECS, IPAF, CCNSG, SSTS, SMSTS, IOSH or similar H&S qualifications (beneficial)
- Experience working on industrial or hazardous sites
