Location – This role is based full-time at a client site in Wolverhampton.
About the Role
As a Building Fabric & Compliance Operative, you will work directly on key client sites as part of a dedicated on-site facilities and engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting non-core engineering, facilities and utilities operations.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on maintenance and operation of building services, utilities and infrastructure
- Repair and maintenance of pipework, HVAC systems, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air and associated equipment
- Supporting utilities plant, including effluent plant, boiler house and compressed air systems
- Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements
- Carrying out fault finding, root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and minor project works
- Assisting with planned maintenance schedules and reactive call-outs
- Managing contractors and agency workers safely when required
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in an FM, industrial or building services environment
- Hands-on experience with utilities plant (boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, effluent plant)
- Good knowledge of HVAC, heating, plumbing and building infrastructure systems
- Fabrication, metalwork and pipework installation experience
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation (PUWER, LOLER, Working at Height, Electricity at Work)
- Experience with permits to work, LOTO and maintenance record keeping
- IPAF, PASMA, CSCS and relevant H&S qualifications (desirable)
- Experience in a hygienic or FMCG food manufacturing environment (advantageous)
