We are seeking a skilled and motivated Approved Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of low-voltage electrical systems within industrial and manufacturing environments.
You will play a key part in ensuring electrical systems are installed safely, maintained to the highest standards, and compliant with current regulations. Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and testing
- Installing low-voltage wiring systems and associated containment
- Installing, terminating, and testing network cabling systems
- Performing electrical isolation of live circuits in accordance with safe systems of work
- Maintaining electrical services and distribution systems
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance schedules
- Testing and energising systems up to 400V, including new and modified installations
- Issuing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Condition Reports (EICRs), and associated NICEIC/BS EN 60079 documentation
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and updating drawings as required
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience as an Approved Electrician within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment - Domestic experience will not be considered.
- Experience of electrical installations and testing within a process plant environment.
- Experience of working in the automotive industry would be ideal.
- 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382)
- Electrical Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391, 2394 or 2395)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or completion of a time-served apprenticeship
