About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Approved Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of low-voltage electrical systems within industrial and manufacturing environments. You will play a key part in ensuring electrical systems are installed safely, maintained to the highest standards, and compliant with current regulations.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out general electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and testing
  • Installing low-voltage wiring systems and associated containment
  • Installing, terminating, and testing network cabling systems
  • Performing electrical isolation of live circuits in accordance with safe systems of work
  • Maintaining electrical services and distribution systems
  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance schedules
  • Testing and energising systems up to 400V, including new and modified installations
  • Issuing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Condition Reports (EICRs), and associated NICEIC/BS EN 60079 documentation
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and updating drawings as required

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience as an Approved Electrician within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment - Domestic experience will not be considered.
  • Experience of electrical installations and testing within a process plant environment.
  • Experience of working in the automotive industry would be ideal.
  • 18th Edition (City & Guilds)
