About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering detailed electrical designs, including calculations, specifications, and comprehensive drawings, using EPlan and AutoCAD software. Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with clients and interpret their requirements to provide engineering solutions and costed, documented proposals; produce design specifications as required.
- Provide electrical engineering support by critically reviewing design submissions to ensure technical standards are met.
- Ensure projects are fit for purpose and adhere to budget and schedule constraints.
- Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed, particularly for Control & LV Electrical Switchgear Panels and Cabling Installations.
- Manage electrical engineering designs and provide supporting technical and commissioning services.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Proven experience in electrical design for automation and control systems.
- Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, SCADA, and motor control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
