Clinicians working with Autism 360 will be part of a dedicated team, committed to clinical excellence and are expected to deliver assessments and support with passion, ownership and commitment. The senior clinician will supervise and manage a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the team provides a high quality and caring service, whilst adhering to national guidelines and professional standards. You will possess a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, differential diagnosis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

We operate remotely throughout the United Kingdom, undertaking assessments and offering support from the comfort of your own home.

Job responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and support a group of clinicians to deliver high quality assessments.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Provide training, guidance, and supervision to team members to support professional development and adherence to best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Provide supervision and appraisals for team members in line with policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead clinical discussions and contribute to leadership of team meetings.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Act as the primary point of escalation for clinical issues.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.

  • Clinical Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and timely records on Chrysalis and associated clinical templates, adhering to professional requirements for accurate record keeping.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Participate in regular line management supervision, supervised assessments and appraisals.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Be accountable for ensuring that mandatory training and clinical supervision is completed. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is expected, and the post holder should expect to have responsibility for their learning whilst also engaging in CPD events.
  • Risk Management and Support: To be responsible for recognising and reporting clinical Incidents and near misses to support the culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will be responsive to requests from the Clinical Assurance and Experience team to participate in investigations where required.
  • Risk Management and Support: Assess and mitigate risks associated with clients under the teams care, providing guidance and advice as required.
  • Risk Management and Support: Collaborate with the wider ADHD 360 service to address complex cases and ensure clients receive appropriate care and support.
  • Flexibility: You are expected to be flexible in the duties you carry out and ADHD 360 reserves the right to vary your duties from time to time in line with service needs. You may therefore be required, during your employment, to work in a different team and/or to carry out alternative duties consistent with your role, knowledge and experience, taking account of any professional registration or qualification requirements.

Experience

  • Minimum two years of autism assessment experience, working with both adults and children.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and independently within Professional Code of Conduct
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage with clients, colleagues and carers.
  • Experience with remote working and conducting virtual clinics.
  • Detailed understanding of co-occurring conditions and differential diagnosis, including mental health conditions
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation within an autistic cohort

Qualifications

  • Qualified healthcare professional with current UK registration with the appropriate governing body (i.e. NMC, HCPC)
