Where you'd sit
This is our first in-house design hire. Design has been split between marketing, product and freelance support so far, and we want one person owning and evolving it.
You'd join the marketing team, but work with every function of the business.
Our brand and tone of voice were built with Pentagram, so the foundations are set.
How they get used across everything we make is the open part.
The role
Mainly digital and web: the website, campaign pages, paid and social, email, product demos.
You'd also cover events and print when they come round, which at Adfin means stands, banners and one-pagers a few times a year.
What you'll do
- Design and ship pages on adfin. com: landing pages, campaign pages, product pages
- Design campaign assets across paid, social, email and web
- Develop the visual language: typography, layout, imagery, motion
- Work with product designers to translate product UI into campaign materials
- Edit video, build motion assets and retouch photography for Linked In, demos and event recaps
- Design event and print material: stands, banners, flyers, one-pagers
- Build sales decks and templates the rest of the team can use on their own
- Adapt work across formats and devices, holding consistency and accessibility throughout
- Maintain the design system and the asset library
- Use AI tooling where it speeds the work up
What we're looking for
- A portfolio showing cross-channel design thinking, not isolated assets
- Shipped websites, strong on visual craft and brand thinking
- Brand, marketing and web work rather than mostly product and UI
- A sharp eye for type, layout, colour, cropping and motion
- An understanding of hierarchy, clarity and responsive design
- Experience working with engineers to get designs built as they were designed
- Designs you've taken to production yourself, AI-assisted or not
- Sharp attention to detail with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
We're open on background: in-house, agency, self-taught, graduate, or several years in. We'll be looking mainly at the portfolio.
Location and working pattern
We value working together in person.
Aside from travel, this is a full-time in-office role.
The office is near Buckingham Palace, with an exceptional sandwich shop and a pub round the corner, and a ping pong table of our own.
