The Microbiology Analyst will work together with the Laboratory Team to carry out microbiological testing on water to specific SOP's and ensure all quality control procedures are followed to ensure the validity of results.
The individual should have enthusiasm for science and wish to develop technically within Microbiology.
The Microbiology Analyst will play an active part in ensuring the highest quality of service to clients and adherence to standards.
The Microbiology Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all samples received in the laboratory are correctly recorded and processed to client requirements within the appropriate time frame.
The Microbiology Analyst should be familiar with the regulatory requirements specific to the laboratory and ensures all users are in compliance with those standards.
The Microbiology Analyst will assist in maintaining the laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025.
The Microbiology Analyst will assist ensuring that all instrumentations/equipment are functioning properly to enable confidence in results generated.
A qualification in a scientific subject is desirable but not essential.
Previous laboratory experience is beneficial but not essential.

Comfortable standing and walking for most of the day, due to the nature of the work.
Be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
