The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support continuous moulding operations. This role ensures correct material supply to machines and upholds housekeeping and health & safety standards within the factory.
Responsibilities:
- Supply moulding machines with correct materials according to production schedules and work instructions.
- Remove finished products, scrap, and regrind from moulding areas as required.
- Refill dryers, hoppers, and material feed systems safely and correctly.
- Work in accordance with all SSW's and maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
- Develop knowledge of materials and their differences.
- Comply with all Health & Safety requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment such as FLT, PPT, and OHC.
- Maintain a positive work ethic and excellent timekeeping.
- Have good knowledge of all materials used and how they require processing.
- Understand the material conveyance system and its controls.
- Set up required material.
