Core Responsibilities
- Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor Level and technicians on the job, ensuring the proper execution of installation and decommissioning tasks.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the entire process from site preparation to material handling, installation, dismantling, and site restoration.
- Complex Installations: Perform and lead complex hardware, software, power, and fiber optic cable installations.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct optical, power, and network element testing, using tools like BER testers, and troubleshoot issues independently.
- Project Management: Manage logistics, track job costs, and ensure project completion within deadlines.
- Technical Documentation: Read, interpret, and apply information from floor plans, rack drawings, work orders, and carrier-specific installation standards, including Telcordia GR-.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate with project stakeholders and lead site teams as a Site Team Leader.
