Job Description:

Purpose of the role: Providing business leadership and acting as senior lead or senior scientific advisor on assigned projects.

Your key activities will include:

Business leadership

> Assessing business opportunities, leading or advising the development of proposals, and communicating with potential and existing clients to maximize the chance of winning work.

> Working with the Adelphi Group (ARWVO Powerhouse inclusive) leadership teams to ensure that work is accurately proposed, won and delivered to meet financial targets and other KPIs.

> Proposing new or modifying service offerings and providing input to the strategic direction of Adelphi Values PCO.

> Engaging and developing new relationships with potential clients.

> Leading, monitoring and reporting assigned strategic and operational initiatives within your practice.

> Monitoring developments in area(s) of expertise and ensuring these are incorporated into proposals and projects and disseminated throughout the team as appropriate.

Project leadership

> Serving as senior leader (SL) or senior scientific advisor (SSA) on projects.

> In the SL role, supporting project teams in their interaction with clients, including acting as senior lead, co-leading projects with the assigned project leader.

> In the SSA role, in addition to scientific strategic advising, supporting SL and PL members for managing and undertaking elements of project delivery and reviewing deliverables.

> Providing regulatory, methodological, and strategic guidance to clients.

Training/Mentoring

> Developing and leading scientific trainings for the team and also providing support and guidance to mid-level and director level team members who may be leading trainings.

> Mentoring Associate Director and Directors regarding regulatory strategy.

> Mentoring Associate Director and Directors on all PCO research methods including qualitative and quantitative approaches.

> Mentoring Associate Director and Directors on business leadership.

> Line managing any assigned team members.

> Ensuring the wider PCO team understands the global capabilities of the ARWVO Powerhouse and to a lesser extent the Adelphi Group in general and is able to identfity when those capabilities can be tapped into.

You will demonstrate the following competencies:

> An understanding of business targets (financial and linked to other KPIs), together with the insight to input into setting such targets, and an ability to lead the team in reaching these targets.

> Engage with wider Omnicom and Adelphi Group (inclusive of ARWVO Powerhouse) stakeholders to understand the broader PCO business needs and to communicate to Omnicom and Adelphi Group stakeholders the business needs of the PCO team.

> Be able to effectively communicate those business KPIs to all levels of PCO.

> Expertise in designing and efficiently executing complex research (qualitative, quantitative, and regulatory) strategies given clients regulatory needs.

> Expert understanding of methodological approaches required for delivery of projects that fall within Adelphi Values’ service offerings.

> Ability to demonstrate strategic insight, participate in strategic discussions with clients and the team, advise clients on strategic project decisions and broader strategic matters, identify solutions for challenging strategic or technical problems, and gain their confidence.

> Ability to engage actively with clients to create opportunities for new or follow-on business.

> Ability to form and foster long-term relationships with existing new potential clients (at both sponsor and individual contact levels).

> In-depth understanding of the perspectives and evidence needs of the numerous stakeholders involved in healthcare decision-making (including payers, HTA bodies and regulators), together with the commercial imperatives of our clients.

> Externally recognized expertise in one or more specialist areas relevant to Adelphi Values’ service offerings.

> Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills, including the ability to chair meetings and facilitate workshops.

> Ability to provide guidance to project teams on high quality documents to meet our clients' needs; these might include proposals, presentations, reports and regulatory/HTA submission documents.

It is a hybrid role of office and home based working with ~2 days minimum expected in the office. Therefore, it is required that you are within a manageable frequent commuting distance of Bollington. Periodic travel may be required
