Job Description:
Senior Research Associate Patient-Centered Outcomes
Purpose of the role: Providing research and analysis support to projects focused on the selection, development, evaluation, and implementation of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA). Position within Adelphi Values: Reports to the assigned senior staff member for line management purposes and to the project lead within each project. Your key activities will be conducted with support, and under the guidance and supervision of more experienced team members.
These activities will include:
> Performing literature searches, reviewing abstracts and journal articles, and critically assessing existing COA instruments.
> Developing study protocols and other study documents including interview guides, case report forms, demographic forms, and informed consent forms.
> Preparing and managing submissions for centralised and local ethical review boards.
> Managing recruitment of patients, caregivers, or other participants through recruitment agencies, recruiting clinicians or advocacy groups.
> Conducting, coding, interpreting, and analysing qualitative interviews (e.g., patient, clinician, and caregiver), including concept elicitation interviews, cognitive debriefing interviews, and in-trial/exit interviews.
You will demonstrate the following competencies:
> Ability to efficiently produce high quality written documents (e.g., scientific content, style, and grammar) that meet clients’ needs, and with excellent attention to detail.
> Proficiency in conducting all aspects of qualitative and/or quantitative healthcare research, demonstrating critical thinking in approach to project decisions/activities and preparation of written documents and deliverables.
> Ability to coordinate/lead research tasks, show initiative and ownership of project activities/decisions and next steps to ensure progress.
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with project teams/colleagues and clients.
